Occupational Health and Safety Policy

KAWAKEN will make every effort to ensure the safety of each of our workers and will promote initiatives for ensuring and improving their physical & mental health to create a healthy workplace and realize our vision of people-friendly chemistry.

To achieve this, we will continue striving to meet the following priority challenges:

  • Striving towards an zero accidents workplace based on the strong leadership of our top management and supervisors, and the united efforts of our employees and affiliates.
  • Promoting the creation of a workplace where our workers can work with peace of mind by continuously supporting measures to maintain and promote their physical & mental health.
  • Complying with occupational health and safety laws, regulations, ordinances, and other agreements to which we subscribe, and establishing our own standards and procedures.
  • Ensuring the safety of our workers, affiliates, and local residents by performing risk assessments to comprehensively identify workplace risks, and establishing appropriate and timely measures to mitigate these risks and prevent serious disasters such as fires, explosions, and accidents resulting in personal injury.
  • Establishing, enhancing, and independently administering our Chemical Substance Management System to prevent health hazards from these substances to our employ-ees, affiliates, and local communities.

  • Improving our occupational health and safety performance by constantly enhancing our Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
  • Providing proactive, ongoing education & training to workers and other related par-ties to enhance risk awareness and improve their occupational health and safety mindset.


Occupational Health and Safety Management System

Occupational Health and Safety Management System of our Plants is managed on-site by the Environmental Safety Group in the respective Manufacturing Departments at the Saitama, Fukui, and Shizuoka Plants, and is centrally managed by the Environmental Management Department at our Head Office. Occupational Health and Safety Management System of our Head Office and that of Osaka Branch is managed by the Management Promotion Department and Osaka Branch, respectively.
