Medium Powder Form Catalysts
Excellent filtration and Repeatability.
The Medium powder form catalyst which has a coarser particle size than the powder catalysts such as Pd/C used in ordinary batch reactions, as a support. Compared to conventional powder catalysts, it has excellent filtration properties and high durability over repeated reactions.
Features of Medium Powder Form Catalysts
Carrier design with excellent handling
The median size (d50) of our regular powder catalyst (Pd/C catalyst) is about 25 μm, whereas the median diameter of the particle size-adjusted charcoal catalyst is about 110 μm. By using a coarse, special support, we have achieved a catalyst with excellent filterability and other handling characteristics.
Excellent sedimentation
Compared to our conventional powder catalysts, the filtration properties are extremely superior. As a result, the catalyst can be used repeatedly in a short period of time, which can be expected to significantly shorten the process.

Is it possible to recycle used catalysts in the same way as conventional powder catalysts?
Although the particle size varies, the catalyst can be recycled (recovered and refined) because it is made of powdered activated carbon. As with conventional powder catalysts, customers can choose to purchase the catalyst as a recycled catalyst or sell it at market value.
